More Info About Tigers
The Tigers Den is led by Cubmaster Steve Tarver throughout the fall while the new community of boys and parents comes together. During this on-boarding period, the boys (and their parents) begin learning the principles and values of Scouting, meeting structure and expectations a
re set and a leadership team of three parents emerges who will take the den forward for the remainder of the year.
Boys may join at any time during the year – they are never ‘behind.’
Den activities are built around six core “Adventures.” Tiger Adventures are:
- My Tiger Jungle (Outdoors awareness)
- Games Tigers Play (Games and sportsmanship)
- Tiger Circles: Duty to God (Non-denominational and personal)
- Team Tiger (Team play and sportsmanship)
- Tiger Bites (Healthy eating habits)
- Tigers in the Wild (Hiking)
This year, we will incorporate the high points of each Adventure into the outdoor-only format we have adopted for the duration of the Covid-19 pandemic. Every effort will be made to ensure the boys cover the principle components of the Tigers curriculum, with all participants doing their best* to cover the material while staying safe and united as a community.
* Do Your Best is the Cub Scout motto and it applies to boys, leaders and parents alike.

Tigers Carve Pumpkins for Halloween on the Green
The Tiger Den (first graders) carved pumpkins at their late October den meeting to be included in the decorations and displays at Halloween on the Green!

Boys and families from Pack 9 were treated to panoramic views from the summit of Mount Watatic on Saturday. Tiger Den Calendar
Join us on Saturday morning at the First Church Firepit (adjacent to the Town Green) to make apple cider!
This event is open to all new Cub Scouts, all returning Cub Scouts, and anyone interested in joining Cub Scouts!
The whole family is invited to take part. Every boy and girl will have a chance to grind apples, press them into pulp, then siphon the juice for immediate consumption!
If you’re new to Scouting, there will be leaders there who can answer all your questions about our terrific Cub Scout program: Pack 9 Lancaster!
