After a successful launch the past two years we are continuing our Lion's Den. The Den will meet once a month Tuesdays from 6:15-7:00 starting 10/7 at the MRE Cafeteria.
- Each year the Cub Scout program seeks to instill appreciation, positive values and good habits aligning to six core themes:
- Character/Leadership
- Outdoors (appreciation and skills)
- Personal Fitness
- Citizenship
- Personal Safety
- Family/Reverence
These themes are wrapped up into “Adventures,” or units of learning. Find more information about the Adventure Requirements for Lions here.
In every activity, boys do their best* to earn Adventure-specific Belt Loops which they can proudly add to their uniform belt as they progress towards earning their Lions Badge at the conclusion of the year.
There is plenty of time in the program for additional activities that take advantage of particular skills, interests or ideas that parents bring to the table. Parents roll up their sleeves and pitch in to make a healthy, memorable experience for their boys.
* Do Your Best is the Cub Scout motto and it applies to boys, leaders and parents alike
