Cars on windowsillN. B. This event is open to Scouts from Lancaster only*
Lancaster Cub Scouts competing in the Pinewood Derby wear their uniforms to school on Friday and bring in their cars to be judged by their peers during lunch period. The overall winner – the “MRE Favorite Car” – is awarded a plaque at the conclusion of the race.
Cars are “impounded” upon arrival at school, kept safe and set up by Mr. Tarver and parent volunteers for display at lunch, the returned at dismissal.
