The boys and families of Pack 9 took advantage of a spectacular day on Saturday to climb nearby Tully Mountain in Orange, MA. The group assembled at 10:30 at the Tully Loop trailhead and after a brief review of the Outdoor Code* the group hiked the short 1.1 mile ascent to a scenic overlook of the entire Nashua River Valley. Families ate lunch, then chose the much shorter, steeper descent to arrive back at the parking lot by noon. The boys then proceeded to Royalston to see Doane’s Falls and to take a brief tour of the Tully Lake Campground.
This spectacular early fall outing was enjoyed by all!
